Emmett's Cafe

Set up in the Open Air building on Neil Avenue in Old North Columbus, Emmett's Cafe perfectly refreshes the historic charm of the building. Full of plants, light, modern furniture, and great coffee and food, this is an all-time favorite breakfast spot of mine, and I often find myself waking up and craving a One Handed Breakfast Sandwich and a cup of coffee from Emmett's. Especially on a weekday morning when it's quiet, you can't beat the jazz or downtempo music and early morning sun reflecting off of the surface of your coffee - it's a perfect start to the day. It's also nice to sit outside when the weather is nice. My favorites other than the breakfast sandwich are the Loaded Toast, the Banana Bread, and the Overnight Oats. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is excellent. Most of the time you can find parking, on the weekends it's a little harder but you can usually snag a spot in the parking lot. It's a great spot to bring friends and folks from out of town. The service is really friendly and they want to make sure you're taken care of. Next to Understory and Butcher Shop Fitness, it's clear that cool things are happening in the area. I only wish it was around when I was living a block away as an OSU student!

Came here for brunch after hearing great things about the food. I tried the breakfast burrito and fruit , which was really good. My sister got the chicken egg and avocado sandwich . Which she said the sandwich was amazing! If you are in the area or looking for a new breakfast spot to try. Check out this place! The orange juice was really good as well.

A beautiful space with nice espresso and delicious banana bread. Not a great spot for studying/working as I had hoped- it got very busy shortly after I arrived (10am on a weekday) and the acoustics of the building are loud. But it'd be a great place for a fancy brunch with friends. Plan to take your time- the food is too pricey to rush through, but I think it's worthwhile for a treat.

My absolute favorite breakfast and lunch spot in the city. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed me. So full of fresh flavors both light and rich. For drinks I specially recommend the espresso tonic, it’s so unique and refreshing. The staff is consistently friendly, especially the manager, who always makes sure your experience is top tier. Try anything on the menu, and you will not be let down.

Very good surprise find these place. Food is amazing. The expresso + tonic is wonderful, so hard find these drink around . The environment is cute and comfortable. The only annoying thing is the parking, it was full but worthy the visit. Suggest to add at menu: expresso + orange juice. It’s a great mix. Definitely I will come back.

I saw this lovely place in the news on the best restaurants in Columbus. Amazing place and friendly service. Coffee tasted great with reasonable prices. The bowl was a little pricey and not enough for a regular lunch. There is no rice. Instead, potatoes and beans are the bases, great for brunch and breakfast. Plus: the soft boiled egg can be a bomb for your stomach.
